What if the story you wanted to tell became the book itself?

Story Bound is a unique three-week creative series that combines paper making, writing, bookbinding, and embroidery into one meaningful artistic experience. Throughout the course, you'll work alongside three different instructors and explore three distinct artistic processes while creating a completely handmade book from start to finish.

Week 1: Handmade Paper

Our journey begins by creating the pages themselves. Participants will learn the process of making handmade paper while exploring texture, fiber, color, and surface design. These handcrafted pages will become the foundation of your final book.

Week 2: Finding Your Words

Once your paper has dried and prepared, we'll shift our focus to storytelling and reflection. Through guided writing exercises and prompts, participants will explore ideas, memories, observations, and personal stories while deciding what they want their handmade book to hold. Whether you choose poetry, journaling, storytelling, sketches, reflections, or a combination of all of the above, this week is about discovering what feels meaningful to you.

Week 3: Binding & Embroidery

In our final session, participants will learn bookbinding techniques to assemble their pages into a finished book. We'll then add hand-stitched embroidery and decorative details to the cover and pages, creating a truly one-of-a-kind keepsake that reflects both your creative voice and artistic journey.

By the end of the series, you'll leave with:

• Handmade paper created by you

• Written work developed through guided prompts

• A hand-bound book

• Embroidered and personalized finishing details

• A deeper appreciation for the connection between storytelling and art

No experience is necessary. This course is designed for beginners and experienced creatives alike.

All supplies are provided. Simply come ready to create, reflect, and bring your story to life.
