Join us at Domas Studio for a detailed and rewarding Kinusaiga experience as we create a quilt-inspired 10x10 artwork using this traditional Japanese fiber art technique.

Kinusaiga is the art of building images with fabric—no stitching required. In this class, you’ll design a quilt-style composition by carefully selecting, placing, and tucking fabric into a pre-cut surface, creating the look and feel of a quilt through pattern, texture, and color.

This project leans into both creativity and precision, allowing you to explore how different fabrics work together while building a piece that feels cohesive and personal. You’ll be guided throughout the process, with support in fabric selection, layout, and technique as your design comes to life.

The extended class time allows you to settle into the rhythm of the process—making it both meditative and deeply satisfying as each section is completed.

Your finished 10x10 piece can be displayed as is or framed like the class sample (frame not included).

This class is great for those who enjoy detail-oriented work and are ready to slow down and create something truly unique.
