Join us at Domas Studio for an expressive and playful exploration of abstract art through mixed media.

Mixed media is the process of combining multiple artistic materials and techniques within a single piece of artwork. Rather than working with just paint alone, participants may explore layering materials such as acrylic paint, charcoal, collage elements, mark-making tools, texture mediums, paper, and more to build depth, movement, and visual interest.

This class is centered around freedom, experimentation, and discovering how abstract art can communicate emotion, energy, and personal expression without needing to look “perfect” or realistic. Abstract work invites you to respond intuitively, to layer, cover, reveal, scratch into, and build surfaces in ways that feel natural and exciting.

Throughout class, participants will be guided through prompts and techniques designed to help loosen up creative thinking while exploring composition, color relationships, texture, and movement within their work.

This is a wonderful class for both beginners and experienced artists looking to step outside of rigid expectations and reconnect with the joy of exploration and process-based creating.

All supplies are provided, just come ready to experiment, create, and have fun.
