Join us at Domas Studio for a unique and hands-on exploration of cyanotype, one of the earliest forms of photography, created not with a camera, but with sunlight.

In this class, you’ll learn the process of creating beautiful blue-toned prints by arranging objects on specially treated paper and exposing them to the sun. Using natural materials, found objects, and thoughtfully arranged compositions, you’ll watch as light and shadow transform your designs into striking, one-of-a-kind images.

Cyanotype is equal parts science and art, offering a blend of experimentation and intention. There’s something incredibly satisfying about the moment your piece develops, when the sun reveals the final composition in rich, vibrant blues.

Throughout the class, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process, from material selection and composition to exposure and development. You’ll have the opportunity to create 3–4 finished pieces, allowing you to explore different layouts, objects, and creative approaches.

This class is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone looking to try something new, enjoy the outdoors, and experience a different approach to art-making. No prior experience is needed.

Come ready to experiment, play with light and composition, and leave with a small collection of work that feels both personal and beautifully unexpected.

All supplies are provided.
